Subject Description

Various exercises and activities to consolidate Year 12 linguistic skills. Speaking: conversation on everyday topics, role plays, short presentations, argument development. Aural comprehension: understanding authentic spoken materials, development of listening accuracy. Writing: grammar revision and development, composition, translation. Reading: introduction to textual and visual studies and contemporary French civilisation through intensive work in small groups; development of critical analysis.

Assessment

Continuous assessment in written and oral work; a 7-minute oral test; a 60 minute civilisation test; a 60-minute textual studies test; and a 60-minute written language text.
