Subject Description

This subject introduces students to the domain of cultural policy studies. By working through the characterisation of cultural criticism as opposed to cultural policy studies students will become familiar with the stakes involved in defining and operating within cultural policy studies. Students will be required to analyse specific instances of cultural policy development and to comprehend the range and consequences of scholarly involvement in cultural policy studies.

Assessment

One essay of 6000 words.
