It also aims to provide students with a detailed historical and cultural context for each of the texts studied. Students will be invited to consider some of the important generic and literary-historical issues in Australian writing, as well as questions of critical and cultural interest, such as gender, race, ethnicity, class, authorship, popular culture and cultural production, as they are currently taking place.
