Subject Description

The content of the subject, which could be taught in given years by different staff with a varying focus, will be structured around the archaeology of the Mediterranean. Initially, the content will focus on the Bronze and Iron Ages of the eastern Mediterranean and the Near East. Students on completion of the subject should have acquired an advanced understanding of archaeological critical analysis for the study of ancient cultures.

Assessment

Written work, tests and examinations totalling no more than the equivalent of 6000 words.
