Subject Description

A reading course in Classical Hebrew literary texts and inscriptions, with an introduction to Hebrew as a classical Semitic language. Students on completion of this subject should have a reading knowledge of Classical Hebrew, and a broad knowledge of the place of Classical Hebrew within the Semitic language family.

Assessment

Regular exercises and class tests (50%) and 2 hours of examination (50%).
