Subject Description

A study of famous works from selected works of Classical Greek and Roman literature which have helped shape European literature, including Epic, Tragedy, Lyric Poetry, and History, together with a study of the societies which produced such literature with emphasis on Greek (Athenian) Democracy and Roman Imperialism.

Assessment

Written work of 2000 words (50%) and a 2-hour examination (50%).
