Zoology Subject Descriptions
A specialisation in Zoology subjects can lead to a wide range of careers in life science including biomedical science and conservation biology. Zoology subjects are designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the classification, diversity, functioning, ways of life and evolution of animals; and to develop some depth of understanding of selected aspects of animal life including ecology (particularly marine ecology), behaviour, physiology, reproductive biology and development, conservation biology, Australian mammal biology, evolutionary biology and zoology of the human species.
