Objectives: | By the end of the subject the student should:

Content: | The anatomy of the skull, with particular emphasis on the orbital cavity, the orbital contents and the external features of the eye. The histology of the ocular tissues. The anatomy of the brain, with particular emphasis on the visual pathway. The embryological development of the eye together with developmental anomalies. | |
Assessment: | A 2-hour written examination (60%), a 30-minute practical examination (30%), and assessment of assignment work derived from practical classes (10%). | |
