Objectives:

At the conclusion of this subject the student should be able to apply the skills learned through Geomatics Science 2 courses to a practical solution.

Content:

The residential field course will normally be held during October-November for a period not exceeding one week. The aim of the residential field course is to extend the students' practical experience by exposure to a variety of survey tasks performed under field conditions more realistic than is possible on campus during the Geomatics Science 2 courses.

Assessment:

Not more than the equivalent of 80 pages of written assignments and reports on practical work. The relative weighting of the assessment components will be published at the commencement of the subject.
