Objectives:

Upon completion students should have:

  • ability to apply the knowledge gained in other subjects to a real engineering investigative problem;

  • gained experience in working collaboratively, collating background data beyond the scope of coursework, making engineering decisions, and reporting the results of their investigations.

Content:

A major project requiring independent investigation and report on an approved advanced topic in engineering.

Assessment:

Work during the project; written and oral reports to a maximum of 30,000 words, or equivalent.
