At the conclusion of their project students should have an appreciation of the procedures involved in conducting organised research and have gained experience in technical report writing and oral presentation.

Content:

Topic chosen from a list circulated during the first semester.

Assessment:

Written report and an oral presentation of major findings before an audience of students and teaching staff.
