Content: | Principles of pipework layout. Design of heat exchangers; special types and thermosyphon reboilers. Hydraulic design of plate and packed columns for gas-liquid contacting. Comparison of plate vs. packed columns, and corrosion and materials selection. | |
Assessment: | One 2-hour examination at the end of semester two. | |
