Diploma of Teaching (TAFE)

The Diploma of Teaching (Technical and Further Education) is recognised as an approved three-year full-time course of teacher training for the TAFE Teaching Service and a recognised tertiary qualification for training officers and instructors, and adult community educators.

The aim of the course is to enable students to develop the necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills required for the first few years of their teaching or training roles.

This course is being phased out over the next few years. The last intake into the course was in 1995. All currently enrolled students will be able to complete the requirements of the course if normal academic progress is maintained.

A limited number of subjects from this course are available again in 1997. Please refer to the 1995 and 1996 Handbooks for subject details.
