Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should be able to:

  • research, in depth, aspects of music education associated with their particular field of music endeavour; and

  • demonstrate strength in an area of musical studies where they may feel a little weak, to assist them in their future teaching/performing career.

Content:

In-depth research into aspects of music education associated with the student's field of music endeavour; consolidation of musical studies that will assist in a future teaching/performing career.

Assessment:

A research folio or thesis (maximum 5000 words) (40%); fulfilment of any contracted rehearsals, performance, organisational involvement and/or assignments (60%). Students must complete all assignments and projects.
