Two 1-hour lectures and a 1-hour tutorial class for nine weeks

Content:

A study of legal concepts, legislation and case law relating to the area of information management. The subject will focus upon practical legal problems faced by those involved in information management. Topics include: discrimination, defamation, white collar crime and negligence, copyright, confidential information, freedom of information, privacy and computers and the law.

Assessment:

A 2-hour examination (70%); an essay of approximately 2000 words (30%).
