Content: | A study of the process of litigation, in the context of aspects of tort law such as personal injury actions. Topics will include: intentional torts, negligence, defamation, civil procedure, and alternative approaches to and method of resolving disputes. | |
Assessment: | Seminar performance (10%), research essay of 5000 words (40%); and a 2-hour final examination (40%). Students must perform satisfactorily in each area of assessment. | |
