Note: | Special Requirement: All projects undertaken in this subject will be student-initiated; only those students with positive written submissions involving original thought and approach will be permitted to enrol. All students applying for this subject will be interviewed for selection by the coordinating staff members. Submissions should include statements covering past activities in the Media Arts Teaching Group, reasons for wishing to undertake a research study or special project, and an outline of the proposed study or project. | |

Prerequisite/s: | At least 75.0 credit points of Media Arts A, B and C subjects, of which at least 16.7 points must be at Group 3 level in the subject area pursued by the student in Media Arts D1, or approved equivalent. | |

Contact: | Each student will be allocated to a teaching member of the Media Arts Teaching Group who will act as a consultant and supervisor. The supervisor will observe the development of the work undertaken and will be available for regular discussions; students must consult regularly as required | |
Objectives: | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content: | Students undertake a project which may take the form of a written submission, film, audio or video tape, seminar with appropriate professional group, etc. | |
Assessment: | Adherence to a prearranged timetable of consultancy sessions (30%); a project of up to 15 minutes duration or equivalent, to be submitted by the due date (70%). Written work totalling up to 2750 words. | |
