Objectives: | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content: | A range of contemporary ideas and issues in the sciences and science-related areas will be studied, together with skills in communicating such ideas, especially in secondary schools. Students will complete one module, chosen from a range such as industrial chemistry, national environmental issues, physical concepts, human manipulation of biological resources, computer applications and simulations. | |
Assessment: | One assignment of approximately 2000 words (100%) or two assignments of approximately 1000 words each (50% each). | |
