Objectives: | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content: | The principles and practice of safety and first aid; development of skills and understanding for accident prevention and emergency procedures in the school situation. Students undertake the St John Ambulance Association First Aid Certificate Level 2. | |
Assessment: | An assignment/project of approximately 1500 to 2000 words (50%); up to one hour of theory and practical examinations in first aid (50%). | |
