483-421 Drama D3: Project Studies in Drama 5

This subject is designed for students undertaking Year 4 of the BEd (Primary) course.

Contact:

Lecture/seminar presentations, practical sessions and individual and group project work, equivalent to approximately three hours a week

Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should be able to:

  • further utilise drama skills and techniques to explore an aspect of drama or drama in education; and

  • demonstrate an extension of their understanding of drama in education through involvement in a variety of dramatic forms and experiences.

Content:

This subject is offered in conjunction with Drama D2 and is designed for students undertaking Year 4 of the BEd (Primary) course. In consultation with the Lecturer concerned, a special drama program will be devised for each student to suit both their interests and background.

Assessment:

The requirements will vary from student to student depending upon the programs devised. Examples of possible requirements include workshop presentation, performance projects, critical reviews and evaluations, reports, essays and class papers.
