Objectives: | On completion of the subject the student should be able to:

Content: | An examination of one of: picture books and major styles of illustrators; genre studies, such as fantasy, science fiction, realism; the contemporary Australian children's novel. All will include childrens' responses to the books. | |
Assessment: | A 6000-word essay including a comprehensive report on children's responses to the books, based on practical work with children (100%). | |
