Objectives: | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content: | A study of primary school curriculum emphasising children's understanding of the physical and social world. Planning, organisation, teaching, evaluation and reporting strategies at a school and classroom level are considered within an integrated study of the primary school curriculum and teachers' work. | |
Assessment: | Reflective journal (20%) and three written assignments totalling 4000 words or equivalent (80%). Hurdle requirement: Satisfactory completion of a negotiated contract of study, class teaching tasks and presentations. | |
