Content: | An examination of aspects of our knowledge of society and the environment and how we can assist children to develop key understandings, skills and values in these fields through the study of topics selected from class; culture; ethnicity and race; the changing nature of work; the impact of technology; media and communication; continuity and the nature and process of social and cultural change; ecologically sustainable development; resource management and conservation; place and space. | |
Assessment: | One 1000 word assignment (30%); one 2000 word assignment (70%). | |
