Objectives: | On completion of this subject participants should be able to:

Content: | The study of principles and practices of technology teaching about design and technological development; concepts and processes underpinning the application of design methods; solving problems in a technological context; computer technologies to assist in design and development of technological solutions; computer applications to assist in the production and delivery of programs of study; analysis of social, environmental and economic issues related to technological solutions; program design for technological design and development incorporating social, environmental and economic considerations. | |
Assessment: | A minor assignment up to 3000 words (40%) in which participants will analyse teaching and learning methods and content for technology design and development; and a major assignment equivalent to 4500 words (60%) which entails a comprehensive written, trialled, resourced and evaluated technology teaching and learning program. | |
