468-302 Vocational Education and Training (VET) Policy and Practice

Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should be able to:

  • analyse the interaction between technology, vocational education and training and society;

  • evaluate the process of policy development as applied in VET; and

  • analyse global and historical trends in VET.

Content:

Overview of political, economic, and international perspectives on VET; examination of selected models of policy and planning in VET; futures methodologies and possible trends in vocational education.

Assessment:

A report of 2000 words (25%), and an essay of 5000 words (75%).
