468-215 Information Technology Programs

Note:

Special Requirements: Students in this subject are required to complete a concurrent Workplace Learning Agreement. Students in this subject are expected to have sound working knowledge of computer applications and recent experience of network systems in their workplace. Lecturer's approval is required.

468-108 Program Evaluation.

Timetable:

Semester 1 or 2

Contact:

40 hours including a minimum of two hours per week for ten weeks in an approved workplace setting

Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should be able to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of the nature and purposes of integrating information technology programs in education and training contexts;

  • design, manage and implement an education and training program using information technology as a tool; and

  • evaluate developed programs in specific contexts.

Content:

Concepts, rationale, characteristics purposes and features of information technology programs; theories and models of integrating information programs in the workplace; design, management, implementation and evaluation of an education and training program.

Assessment:

Participants will design, manage, implement and evaluate an education and training program (3000 words equivalent) derived form the Workplace Learning Agreement (100%).
