Objectives: | On completion of this subject participants should be able to:

Content: | An introduction to the study of: design methods used to develop a technological device; understanding of specification and performance criteria; various computer hardware and software applications enabling investigation, design, modelling, analysis and monitoring of the development of a prototype of a technological device; specification and manufacturing using numerically controlled machinery; the impact of computer technologies in teaching and learning programs; computer technologies into the classroom/workshop. | |
Assessment: | A portfolio of work equivalent to 1800 words (50%) and a critical reflection report of 1800 words drawn from the workplace learning agreement (50%). | |
