Objectives: | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content: | Examination of uses that can be made of computers and related technologies in early childhood settings in the light of the advantages and disadvantages of so doing. Students will undertake practical sessions to develop skills in the use of personal computers in order to install, utilise and maintain administrative programs and packages, and programs they have produced themselves. | |
Assessment: | An essay of approximately 2000 words (40%); and practical computer-based tasks equivalent to 3000 words (60%). | |
