466-260 ID Arts 2A: Integrating the Arts

Interdisciplinary Arts 1A and 1B or approved equivalent.

Semester 1

Contact:

Two 2-hour lecture/seminar/workshop sessions each week

Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should be able to:

  • demonstrate further skills in selected disciplines;

  • demonstrate increased understanding of links between the arts; and

  • demonstrate an ability to present a multi-media project directed primarily at younger children.

Content:

A practical study of integration among the arts culminating in a multi-media presentation using not fewer than two of the arts offered in the current year.

Assessment:

Presentation of practical project(s) (60%), and written work up to 1750 words (40%). Each piece of work must be completed satisfactorily.
