Objectives: | On completion of this subject, students should be able to:

Content: | Special topics will be offered which reflect the research interests and activities of departmental staff and/or visiting scholars. This would allow students to investigate in detail specialised topics which would not usually be offered as part of the Department's programme. | |
Assessment: | Assignments totalling no more than 2000 words (20%) and one 3-hour examination (80%). | |
