Objectives: | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content: | The application of advanced micro-economics in Australian policy analysis and debates, including (inter alia) industry regulation, deregulation and privatisation, the economic analysis of legal disputes and their resolution, the economics of technological change, economics of the environment and some microeconomic issues which arise in trade policy. A small number of the seminars will be given by specially invited speakers. | |
Assessment: | A 3-hour examination (80%) and class assignments totalling approximately 2000 words (20%). | |
