Objectives: | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content: | This subject will examine the interaction of government regulatory policy with both public and private enterprises. The subject focuses on both proposed and current privatisation policies and regulatory schemes for various Australian industries. Comparisons with overseas experiences will be drawn where appropriate. The first part of the subject presents an analytical framework in which these issues can be addressed. The remainder of the subject will focus on specific case studies. | |
Assessment: | One 2-hour examination (80%) and class assignments totalling approximately 2000 words (20%). | |
