Handbook 1997 : Faculty of Arts : Theology
The Melbourne College of Divinity (MCD) offers the following subjects to Bachelor of Arts students from 1996. The subjects are taught at and by the Associated Teaching Institutions of the Melbourne College of Divinity.
Interested students should note the following:
special entry conditions apply, and entry to each subject must be approved by the relevant teaching institution of the College of Divinity and the Faculty of Arts.
the subjects are offered on an up-front fee basis (the subjects are not offered through the HECS scheme). No fee exemptions are currently available. For information on the level of fee for each subject please contact the MCD.
the subjects will be taught in four locations in Melbourne:
United Faculty of Theology (Ormond College)
Evangelical Theological Association (Whitley College)
Yarra Theological Union (Box Hill)
Catholic Theological College (Clayton).
Each subject will be available at Ormond and/or Whitley College; any student who wishes to attend classes at either Clayton or Box Hill should contact the MCD.
Students undertaking the Bachelor of Arts are normally permitted to enrol in approved subjects offered outside the Faculty of Arts. However, there is a requirement that students complete a minimum of 50 points at first-year in departments within the Faculty of Arts.
Combined course students will not normally be eligible to enrol in these subjects: please consult with an Arts Faculty Course Adviser for further information.
