Three lectures and two tutorials each week

Content:

A further look at the structural development of Vietnamese and some research work into the fluencies of the language. Study of Vietnamese literature to 1862, particularly the folk style in demotic characters and the national written language.

Assessment:

Continuous oral, aural and written exercises (40%); one 2000 word essay in Vietnamese on cultural aspects (20%); end-of-semester written exam (20%); oral/aural exam (20%).
