920-262 Vietnamese Introductory Language 2A

Vietnamese Introductory Language 1B or an approved equivalent standard.

Contact:

Five hours per week: 3-hours of lectures and 2-hours of practical language classes

Content:

This subject builds on first year work and begins to look seriously at phonological, morphological and syntactical structures while continuing to improve the fluency of students. Post-World War II literature is studied.

Assessment:

One book review of 1500-words (20%); one 1500-word assignment (20%); one 1-hour written test (35%); and one 2-hour oral exam (25% - including a role play in small groups, a short dialogue in Vietnamese and a multiple choice aural-oral test).
