Content:

This subject investigates the remarkable transformation in the post civil war era and the role of the state, big business and labour is considered in the process of industrialisation. Also Korean political practices and values are examined together with the political systems of the RoK and the DPRK, their relationship with each other and substantive policy issues.

Assessment:

Two 750-word assignments (35%); one 2500-word essay (30%); class participation (10%); and one 2-hour examination (25%).
