Content:

This course looks at the 2000-year span of Korean history and in particular at the Choson Period (1392-1910). It reflects on Choson society via a number of topics - history, religion, society and family organisation, law and the arts.

Assessment:

Two 500-word assignments (35%); one 1500-word essay (30%); class participation (10%); and one 2-hour examination (25%).
