920-162 Vietnamese Advanced Language 1A

A pass in VCE Vietnamese or an approved equivalent standard.

Contact:

Five hours per week: 3-hours of lectures, one 1-hour tutorial and one 1-hour practical class

Content:

A general introduction to Vietnamese language structures and the cultural heritage associated with the language, including literature of various styles from the first century BC to the seventeenth century AD.

Assessment:

One 2000-word assignment (30%); one book review of 1500-words (20%); 15-minute oral presentation (20%); and 3-hour examination (30%).
