Subject Description:

This subject incorporates an ecological mode of psycho-social development and adaptation across the human life span. Students who complete this subject should be able to demonstrate knowledge of current research and theories on a range of vulnerable populations, demonstrate an insight into the experiences of individuals and groups labelled vulnerable in our community, and the social construction of such categories; reflect on the theoretical perspectives and value assumptions implicit in the literature relevant to subjective experiences, and in students' own beliefs and attitudes.

Assessment:

Written assignments of up to 5000 words or equivalent.
