191-450 Organisational Issues in Criminal Justice

One 1-hour lecture and one 2-hour seminar per week

Content:

An examination of a range of issues concerning criminal justice organisations and their personnel. Topics to be covered will include psychological and sociological analyses of organisations, management, personnel selection, professional socialisation, psychological issues in working in institutional settings, dealing with the needs of criminal justice personnel and the evaluation of organisational programs.

Assessment:

Up to 6000 words of written work. An examination may be substituted for part of the written work.
