191-311 Criminology Research Seminar

Prerequisite/s:

An H2B average over all subjects completed towards a criminology major, with a minimum of two completed 2nd/3rd year criminology subjects.

One 1-hour lecture and a 2-hour seminar per week

Subject Description:

This seminar is designed for students who are eligible for, and are intending to do Fourth Year Honours in Criminology. The course focus will be on research design and development, including consideration of different research methodologies and ethical issues in criminological research. The specific objective is the preparation of a proposal for a Fourth Year Honours thesis.

Assessment:

A research essay of 5000 words.
