Content: | The object of the subject is to think about Third World futures - how we might approach them and how others have. This involves critically examining three broad approaches to global politics - international relations, globalisation and postcolonialism - and enquiring into their assumptions and silences. We will then focus on particular issues and questions which stand as topics in their own right, but also reflect back on the three key discourses. Cases in point are modernity hybridity and agency.
Assessment: | Written work totalling 6000 words.
