Subject Description:

The format of the subject is the same as Japanese 4A. A further 300 Chinese characters will be covered. Plain (colloquial) styles of speech will be introduced. Classes will be conducted principally in Japanese.

Assessment:

Assignments and quizzes totalling not more than 3500 words (1st/4th year levels) or 2500 words (2nd/3rd year levels) in written work; one 2-hour written examination; one oral/aural perception test (maximum 30 minutes). Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examinations.
