Subject Description:

A further study in spoken and written Japanese; oral/aural work will be incorporated in classroom activities. Students will be exposed to more rigorous studies to expand reading and writing skills. They will be expected to learn an additional 150 characters with the assistance of computers.

Assessment:

Regular assignments and quizzes totalling not more than 3500 words (1st year level)/2500 words (2nd year levels) in written work; one 2-hour written examination; one oral/aural perception test (maximum 30 minutes). Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examinations.
