Subject Description:

Advanced spoken and written Chinese. By the conclusion of this subject students should have reached approximately the same level as Chinese 3B. They should be able to speak and read about such topics on Chinese society as marriage, family planning, the market, and the Chinese Revolution.

Assessment:

One oral examination (10 minutes). One written examination (3 hours). Homework to a maximum of 1800 words. Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination.
