Subject Description:

A post-elementary subject in Modern Chinese for students who have completed Chinese 2A. By the conclusion of this subject students should have mastered the basic grammatical structures of Modern Chinese, and have a vocabulary of approximately 1200 characters.

Assessment:

One aural/oral examination (1 hour); one written examination (one and a half hours); assignments and short written tests to a maximum of 1800 words. Students will be required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examinations.
