Subject Description: | A special study based on the student's other subjects taken previously or concurrently. Readings can be in any of the following two main areas: Arabic literature or Islamic studies. Students completing this subject should be able to (a) undertake independent research in Arabic Studies or Islamic Studies in areas of interest to them and consistent with the aim of the subject; (b) present the findings of their research in a scholarly manner. | |
Assessment: | Up to 3 essays totalling no more than 6000 words. | |
