Any two Arts subjects or permission of the Head of Department. No knowledge of the Modern Greek language is presupposed.

Subject Description:

The concept of myth is explored in major works of 20th-century Modern Greek literature set in their social, ideological and historical context. All texts are examined in English translation.

Assessment:

Written work up to 3000 words (50 %) and a 2-hour written examination (50 %).
