Subject Description:

The basic grammar and syntax of Modern Hebrew. Reading, writing and simple conversation. Background to Israeli culture and society.

Assessment:

1st, 2nd and 3rd year: Regular exercises and class tests (50%) and a 2-hour examination (50%). 4th year: Written work, tests and examinations totalling no more than 6000 words or equivalent.
