Subject Description:

Intensive subject continuing development of the ability to speak, read and write Indonesian begun in Beginners Indonesian. Students will achieve a basic communicative competence in Indonesian and will have developed a sound basis for further Indonesian language study; they will have developed 'Asia-literacy' and an empathy with Indonesian people and culture.
